Custom Fattycakes and La-Di-Das

Here are some customs that I finished off and sent to their new home today.  4 Minky AI2’s all in size medium, a pair of Fattycakes and a pair of La-Di-Das :).

It’s official– I finally have an online store!  www.clothish.com is live and ready for orders! Hooray!

 

I have some instock nappies listed, as well as some custom spots and a few other goodies.     Check out the Berry Nice Bows section, featuring cute handmade hair accessories and dummy clips made by a lovely friend of mine especially for my store.  My first shipment of the awesome Rockin’ Green laundry detergent will be arriving soon too! 

 

All Comfy Cover pattern orders and other enquiries will be handled through the store from now on, rather than through my blog.

Microchamois, my new love!

 

I received my first order of microchamois a couple of days ago, and may I just say, I am in love!  It is so soft and lush and S T R E T C H Y, I decided to try something I have never dared attempt, newborn pocket nappies.  They turned out awesome!  So soft on little bottoms, and so easy to stuff!  I’ve always struggled to stuff pockets smaller than mediums, but even DH with his big man hands had no trouble getting an insert into these cute little fattycakes.

 

I might almost be converted back to pocket nappies myself! 

 

For this order I also made 20 cotton velour/bamboo sherpa wipes.  The velour is for softness, and the sherpa offers just the right amount of “grab” for messy changes.  More of these wipes will be available instock once my website goes live :)

I got my new tags in the mail this morning, and couldn’t help but sew up this cute little minky La-Di-Da AI2 so I could show them off :).  This is the first time I have done an appliquéd nappy, it is a gift for a special little newborn baby boy :)

Here are some more bitty newborn FC AI2's I made as part of a big custom order. These 8 are joining the other 11 newborns from last month, and I am about to start sewing up a dozen smalls too.  All for one lucky little baby :). 

 

All have minky outers, hidden PUL, and white suedecloth inners. The snap-in soaker is a 2 layer suedecloth-topped bamboo fleece contour, with a mini 2 layer bamboo trifold attached underneath.

Nappy New Year!

 

No wild new years’ parties for me, I welcomed 2010 by cranking out custom orders and setting up my new workspace in the shed. “Shed” isn’t really the right word, it really is more like a granny flat, a huge insulated air-conditioned play room of sorts that just happens to be part of DH’s shed.   It’s a great space because the kids can play in the backyard while I work and I can keep an eye on them, or if it’s too hot or raining there’s plenty of room for indoor activities in there with me. 

 

These newborn AI2's Fattycakes are part of a custom order I am working on at the moment.  They all have minky outers, hidden PUL and suedecloth inners, and my special contour/trifold combo snap-in soakers of bamboo fleece topped in suedecloth.

 

I have 8 more of these to sew up and then I'm moving onto the smalls. The baby they are going to sure will have an awesome stash - I only wish Teagan's stash was so nice :)

 

I have also been working on my new website, which will hopefully be launched later this month.  I am flat out with customs at the moment so there might not be much in stock initially, but I hope to have lots of information and a gallery, and of course the Comfy Cover pattern will always be in stock!
